Gift certificates are available for purchase through our website at www.bellavidaheadspa.ca by clicking the ‘BOOK NOW’ button or in person at the spa located at 2839 King St. E., Bowmanville.

Online gift certificates can be emailed directly to the recipient or to yourself for printing and insertion to a card. Please note: online gift certificate prices include tax.

Yes. When paying your deposit online, simply select ‘EDIT’ and then ‘Gift Certificate’ from the payment drop down and enter your code. 

Please note: If you have trouble entering your gift certificate code or if your gift certificate appears expired, please contact us and we will be happy to assist. Please do not pay deposits with another payment method, as all deposits are non-refundable.

3. Choose the service and appointment time you want
4. Enter your contact information and continue to checkout
5. At checkout, select “Edit” to change your payment method
6. Select Gift Card and enter your 8-letter gift certificate code located on the front of this card
7. Your gift certificate will be applied to your non-refundable deposit

At Bella Vida Head Spa, all appointments are reserved exclusively for our guests. For this reason, we do not offer cancellations or refunds.

• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule an appointment.
• With 24 hours’ notice or more, your deposit may be transferred to a new date and time.
• Reschedules, no-shows, or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
• Deposits are non-refundable and are applied toward your service on the day of your appointment.
• Group bookings follow the same policy per guest. Deposits will be forfeited for any guest who does not provide proper notice.

Yes! We have plenty of parking available for all guests.

We use Dermalogica for skincare. Guests with sensitive skin are typically treated with CeraVe, as it’s gentle and non-irritating.

For the hair portion of your service, we use Goldwell products.If you have any concerns, you are more than welcome to bring your own products for us to use during your service.

Before your appointment, you’ll receive a consent form where you can list any allergies or sensitivities. This ensures we select the safest products for your treatment.

Please note: We only need to be made aware of allergies or sensitivities related to your skin or scalp. (ie. we do not need to know if you are allergic to cats)

All head spa treatments include a complimentary blow dry. 

If you’d like your hair flat-ironed or styled with hot tools, you may add that to your service when booking. (Please note: This service is included in a Luxury Head Spa and does not need to be added)

We kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another guest.

To reschedule, please call the spa directly at 289-404-2822.

Deposits are strictly non-refundable. With at least 24 hours’ notice, your deposit may be applied to a future appointment. If you reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

If you choose to cancel or do not attend your appointment, your deposit will be forfeited.

Yes! We have five treatment beds, two double rooms and one single room. Which allows us to accommodate up to five guests at once.

We can also accommodate larger groups by staggering appointment times. For groups larger than two, we recommend calling the spa directly so we can arrange the best experience for your group.

Absolutely! Our head spa services are for everyone, and many of our male guests love the experience. It’s relaxing, therapeutic, and beneficial for the scalp and hair, regardless of hair type or length. Men are always welcome at Bella Vida Head Spa.

Please note: For men with beards, we offer a complimentary beard treatment. Be sure to let us know when booking if you have a beard so we can include this in your service.

Absolutely! A head spa isn’t just for hair, it’s a scalp treatment. Even without hair, your husband can enjoy the relaxing massage, scalp therapy, and benefits for scalp health. Bald or not, everyone can enjoy the full head spa experience at Bella Vida Head Spa.

Yes! Guests with hair extensions can still enjoy a head spa. We take special care to treat your hair gently to avoid tangling or damaging the extensions. 

Please note: There is a $15 surcharge for hair extensions, and we do not perform head spa treatments on tape-in extensions. If you have any concerns, let us know when booking so we can customize your treatment.

Yes! You can still enjoy a head spa after coloring your hair. Our treatments are gentle and color-safe, designed to nourish your scalp and hair. For best results, we recommend waiting at least 3–4 days after coloring or washing your hair at least once before receiving a head spa.

Please note: Vibrant or high-lifted colors may fade during a head spa treatment. We recommend, if possible, scheduling your head spa before your color treatment rather than after. Please let us know when booking that your hair is recently colored so we can take extra care during your service.

Absolutely! Our head spa treatments are suitable for all hair types, including textured and ethnic hair. We take special care to nourish your scalp and hair gently while maintaining your hair’s natural texture.

Please note: Our stylists are not highly experienced with styling ethnic hair, so the complimentary blow dry is a rough dry only. We recommend adding hot tools if you’d like a styled finish, or planning to style your hair after your treatment. Please let us know any specific needs when booking so we can customize your service.

Yes, minors are welcome at Bella Vida Head Spa with a few important guidelines in place.

• A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for all guests under the age of 18.
• For minors under the age of 16, we require a parent or guardian to remain on-site for the duration of the treatment.
• Please note that our head spa treatments are designed to be relaxing and involve extended time lying on the treatment bed, which may not be suitable for all children.
• We recommend that minors be comfortable with water, light scalp massage, and remaining still for the length of the service.

If you have any questions about whether a head spa treatment is appropriate for your child or teen, our team is happy to help guide you and recommend the best option for your guest’s age and comfort level.

No, we do not submit to insurance providers. Our services are not performed by Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) and therefore cannot be billed directly to benefits.

Some guests with extended health benefits may be able to submit this service independently using a receipt; however, coverage is not guaranteed. We are happy to provide a detailed receipt for your records. We always recommend checking with your insurance provider in advance to confirm whether this service may be eligible for reimbursement.

The Water Halo is a signature head spa feature that uses a circular ring of gently flowing warm water to create a soothing, spa-like experience. It promotes deep relaxation, supports healthy scalp circulation, and allows for a gentle, thorough cleanse. Many guests describe it as one of the most relaxing parts of their treatment.
